Religious Education Program:
R.E.P., formerly known as C.C.D., is for
grades 1 to 6. The purpose and goal of
the program is to provide systematic instruction of the Catholic faith and most
importantly to encourage students in daily living of Christ’s teachings and
values. Registration begins in April. All fees must be submitted with your
registration form. No registrations will be accepted on the first night of
class in September.
Sunday
School:
Sunday
school is held during the 9:30 AM Mass. This program is designed to focus on
religious education for the younger child. It includes singing, crafts, a
Gospel lesson and an activity based on the Sunday Gospel, as well as learning
prayers and making the sign of the cross. We end our hour together with a
snack, which is provided. We ask that you arrive for Sunday School approximately 10 minutes before the start of
Mass.
EDGE Youth
Ministry:
The EDGE Catholic Middle School Ministry is our
Parish youth group for students in grades 7 & 8. It is designed to meet the
social, educational and spiritual needs of middle school youths. Teens are
always welcome to invite their friends to EDGE. The EDGE youth ministry program
provides the best opportunity for middle school youth to grow in his or her
relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic community.
Sacramental
Preparation
for
Children:
Reconciliation: Children of the Parish celebrate the sacrament for
the first time when they are in the 2nd grade or higher in the Parish School, Religious Education Program,
or private Catholic School. It is celebrated in a communal prayer service on a
Thursday evening in January.
Eucharist: First
Communion is celebrated at Epiphany on a Saturday morning in May. Children must
first celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and have at least one year of
religious education before receiving this Sacrament.
Confirmation: Children are eligible to celebrate this Sacrament during
the 6th grade. Children must have at least one year of religious education
before they receive this sacrament. Epiphany
of Our Lord Confirmation is scheduled by the Bishop every year in the spring.
Sacramental
Preparation
for
Teenagers and Adults:
Adults and teenagers who are baptized and desire to celebrate the
sacraments of reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation should contact the RCIA
Coordinator to arrange to prepare for their reception.
Pre-Jordan:
The Pre-Jordan program provides parents and godparents of children
about to be baptized with a fuller understanding of the Sacrament and affirms
their own faith and responsibilities as their “child’s” first and best teacher.

spirituality, intimacy and family aspects of marriage at Pre-Cana Days held the Saturday after Easter and the 3rd
Saturday in October. Contact Jack and Lenore Phipps, phone 610-272-7098.
